Disaster Relief

 

The Disaster Relief ministry continues to be an asset to people and communities that struggle with the effects of natural disasters. Administering mass feeding, shower, chainsaw and recovery, and child care units, disaster relief volunteers in Arkansas total over 1,000, each providing care, shelter, hot food and showers to victims of disasters. Through this ministry, Christ's love has been shared through practical means of teaching and reaching.

2008 Disaster Relief Training Schedule

February 8-9, 2008 at Camp Paron starting at 10:00 am.  Husqvarna Chainsaw Safety Course.  Contact Central Baptist Association at 1-501-778-5463.  This  training event if for Recovery Update Volunteers only.
March 15, 2008 at FBC Marion starting at 8:30 am.   Contact Ray Oswalt at 1-870-633-2382.
March 29, 2008 at FBC Brinkley, starting at 8:30 am.  Contact Joe Garner at 1-870-572-3727.
April 19, 2008 at FBC Batesville starting at 8:30 am.   Contact Ronnie Toon at 1-870-793-7162.

We will conduct an "Introduction to Feeding and Recovery" training for new volunteers at each training event .  We are requiring that every volunteer attend at least ONE training event a year. 

Update volunteers must complete NIMS 700 training during the above training dates.  The NIMS 700  training will be provided on the above dates.
